Project Status
This website will be updated on a monthly basis with construction progress, photos, and any activities that may impact the area (such as additional lane closures, excessive noise activities, and extended work hours).
Due to the nature of construction, some disruptions may not be known a full month in advance, but we will do our best to keep the neighbors and community at-large informed as much as possible.
Construction activities will take place during normal working hours (6:30 am to 4:00 pm), Monday through Saturday.

Upcoming Milestones
Upcoming Milestones
Phase 1 of the Courts Complex Addition and Renovations project is progressing well. This phase includes preserving and renovating the historic Levy Opera House and demolishing the current Levy Annex to construct a new 58,000 SF General District Courthouse.
General District Court:
Interior work is progressing well, with the drywall finishing and painting processes now underway. Courtroom ceilings have been sprayed with acoustic plaster, casework is currently being installed in office areas, and millwork for the courtrooms will be delivered and installed throughout March. Tile installation is nearing completion in the bathrooms and is set to begin in the main lobby areas in the next couple of weeks.
Exterior masonry work is nearly finished, with scaffolding removed. Glass storefronts at the main and stairway entrances are being installed. Landscaping has begun, focusing on site concrete and preparation for entrance plaza pavers, and plant installation.
Levy Opera House:
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins are ongoing, with the routing of pipes and ductwork almost complete through the historic masonry walls. Wall inspections are finished, and drywall installation is now in progress. The steel installation for Stair 1 is complete, and the stair pans will be filled with concrete in early March.
Phase 1 of the County Courts Complex Addition and Renovations project is on track for substantial completion in the Spring of 2025.
